Dr. Clarke completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Waterloo, in Ontario. He went on to study Opticianry (the making and dispensing of glasses and contact lenses) at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. In 2013, he completed his Masters Degree in Optometry from Aston University (Birmingham, UK). During his studies he also completed a rotation on therapeutics and ocular disease at the Derby Royal Hospital (Derby, UK). Upon graduation, Dr. Clarke returned to Canada where he completed the University of Waterloo Bridging program before becoming licensed to practice in Canada.

Dr. Clarke is currently registered with the Ontario College of Optometrists, Nova Scotia College of Optometrists, New Brunswick Association of Optometrists, the Canadian Association of Optometrists and is an affiliate doctor of optometry with both the TLC Laser Centre and Lasik MD. He has worked in the industry since 2002, and has been practicing as an Optometrist primarily in rural parts of England, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, where he has enjoyed providing primary eye care services to underserved populations. Dr. Clarke strives to provide the best possible patient care, while creating a safe inclusive environment for his patients. He promotes eye health while practicing in more of a holistic, and preventative, manner. He is passionate about optometry and truly loves what he does. He is excited to bring his expertise and experience to New Brunswick, through the opening of Maritime Eye Care.
